Pop pop pop it’s the sound of all the summery bars and venues opening up. Psstevents list our favorite ones to indulge the summer:
The Royal Opera; Stömterassen & Guldterassen
‘Operan’ has jacked up their game this summer, with two outdoor terraces; Strömterassen and Guldterasssen overlooking Gustav Adolfs torg, the castle, and the Swedish parliament. Go here for lunch, dinner or drinks!
See you at the Opera!
Address:
Strömgatan 14
Kavalleriet
This is a newcomer with a killer location next to Dramaten and Strandvägen in the oldest industrial building in Stockholm. The space used to be a bakery that made bread for the military and it has been kept beautifully with many old details in the design of the interior. They have a huge terrace with a bar and great AW-prices. See you there!
Address:
Sibyllegatan 2
Bleck
Just in time for Bleck’s three-year-anniversary, the renovations at lilla blecktornsparken have come to an end and the already big patio has become huge. For the summer they have opened up another bar facing the terrace solely for drinks to speed up the ordering process. Do we need to say we’re psyched to hang out here all summer?
Address:
Katarina Bangata 68
Trädgården
The mother of all Stockholm summer bars and venues; Trädgården is a no-brainer to have on such a list. What one easily forgets is that they too have a great AW-concept and are often open daytime in the weekends.
Address:
Hammarby Slussväg 2
TAK & SUS
TAK has become a modern Stockholm classic by now, but nonetheless one of our favorites located about 50 meters above sea level, giving you one of the best views of Stockholm from above. Just a few weeks ago TAK got another sibling called Stockholm Under Stjärnorna, SUS; A 1200m2 elevated park located across the bridge from TAK with a huge bar and outdoor seating area. Lucky us!
Address:
Brunkebergstorg 2-4, up the elevator and across the bridge!
The entire Skånegatan & Nytorgsgatan (no cars)
New for 2018 is that Stockholm has made the entire Skånegaran and Nytorgsgatan exclusive for pedestrians and bikes. Loads of chill patios and good vibes along the streets in our favorite Södermalm area.
Humlan x Surfers
The classic Visby shack have taken over the bar in Humlan (the space that most of us know as Spymlan). Good job Surfers!
Address:
Humlegårdsgatan 24
Supper Gården
While we’re at it; the other Visby origin Supper and its huge space at Norra Bantorget is another favorite to add to the list of great summer bars and venues. ‘Littlewood’ serves the more casual option to the restaurant offering and you’ll be able to get burgers and salads along with watching the world cup games on their big screens. If you’re not that into soccer they have more space to hide away with your friends and cocktails.
Address:
Barnhusgatan 12
Lydmar Hotel + live
It’s old news Lydmar has one of the sweetest and sunniest location in the city, now they finally kicked off Lydmar Live for the season. We are especially excited about Maja Francis on the 13th of June and Musikgäris summer bash on the 14th. Read more about it here.
Address:
Södra blasieholmshamnen 2
Hallywylska
This might be one of Stockholm’s most beautiful open air venues. Why not take in some history with your cocktail? A little posh clientele, but still worth a visit for sure.
Address:
Hamngatan 4
Mosebacke Etablissemanget
This is truly a classic with a little bit of everything and an unbeatable view of Stockholm! Themes vary depending on the night and club, but look out for their concerts and DJ sets; a lot of great bookings here.
Address:
Mosebacke Torg 1-3
Ling Long courtyard
This one easily slips under the radar but it’s a sweet little oasis in the middle of the city with a slightly speakeasy vibe.
Address:
Riddargatan 6
Ljunggren
Mingle away and have some sushi or raw food while soaking up sun in the Asian inspired environment at Ljunggrens rooftop.
Address:
Götgatan 36
Orangeriet
Enjoy seafood in a relaxed atmosphere on the water at Norr Mälarstrand’s finest: Orangeriet. Great place to take a breather and meet up with friends after work.
Address:
Norr Mälarstrand, Kajplats 464
Solstugan
This might be a slightly unexpected contribution to the list, located in Fredhäll, the westernmost part of Kungsholmen. It is, however, one of the most underrated spots in the city with a huge patio overlooking the water, Bromma and Essinge Islands.
Address:
Snoilskyvägen 37
That’s all folks! Enjoy summer!
